Taking Care of our Bodies

Today we talked about our bodies and how they help us to wonderful things. Luckily everyone brought their body. Every kid here thinks his/her body is pretty great.
We sang Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes and If You're Happy and You Know It to experiment with different things our bodies can do.

Preschool was divided into two parts. We talked about the inside of our bodies (heart, lungs, stomach, liver, kidneys) and then we talked about the outside of our bodies (hands, head, feet, legs, tummy, shoulders).

We talked about how we need to put healthy things in our bodies (everyone dissected their lunches and divided them into healthy and unhealthy piles). Don't worry, they all ate something-- they were glad to know that even though they should eat healthy things, they could sometimes have treats too.

We also went to the park and on a LONG walk to exercise our bodies-- another way to stay healthy.

Finally we talked about keeping our bodies clean on the outside. We wash our hair, wash our bodies, and keep our teeth brushed.

Above is a picture of what our insides look like.

The inside-out bodies are priceless. We talked about what the different parts did on the way home.

And Gavin told me he didn't eat all of his Cheetos because they are an "unhealthy" food. Too funny!
