More sink and float

We were scientists for the day on Friday as well. We made nifty scientist glasses to help us observe things more closely.

I'm not sure they helped us be more observant, but we sure felt silly in them. Especially Ellie.

We sorted, then tested our hypotheses...




We even tried floating our snack. Oranges float, grapes sink, and surprisingly, soggy graham crackers float, even after 10 minutes. Eww!




We made our own oceans. Shells, rocks, and sand sank, but oil floated, just like we guessed would happen!
